Brassica from Southern Italy. Sow from May-Jul. An early, tall variety with small to medium curling leaves and large green florets. Broccoli grows best when the average daily temperature is around 21 degrees C.

Broccoli is a very healthy vegetable. A high intake of broccoli has been found to reduce the risk of aggressive prostate cancer. Broccoli leaf is also edible and contains far more betacarotene (a Vitamin A precursor) than the florets. Broccoli is also high in vitamin K.

India is largest producer of chilli. Beware visiting Mexico - those gherkin like things on your burger? They are fiery green chillies!
